Mixed-use building retail and offices

Project Summary

Strettons manage this mixed use building of retail and offices located closed to the junction with Goswell Road and within walking distance of Old Street and Barbican Station in EC1.


The property apprises of a retail music store on the ground floor and basement levels with four floors of offices above.


Strettons Property Management team gave advice and instruction on the health and safety management of the building which required a complete update. Strettons’ devised a plan to regulate the hazards and non-compliances within the communal areas.


In addition, the building electrical services were in need of an upgrade and the management team advised on a project to rectify the issues.

At the same time of rectifying the issue one of the tenants vacated and Strettons’ were required to advise on the plans for re-letting.


Strettons’ successfully implemented the health and safety regime; including fire and health & safety risk assessments and enacted all issues arising and this is continued with a robust management regime.


The electrical systems were also improved to include the correct labeling of the metering for each unit as well as the landlords' supply.


The commercial agency team was able to let the vacant unit with a minimal void period and the new tenant moving in within a month of the former tenant vacating.
